D&D Out of the Abyss Notes #70 – Return to Gauntlgrym (Homebrew Subplot)

It’s back to Gauntlgrym to deal with the fallout of one character’s actions that has led the Underdark to the brink of war! What will King Bruenor’s ultimate decisions be regarding our intrepid party, and will the truth or a lie come forth at a critical moment? Antimagic fields and familiars. An alternate critical damage mechanic. One viewer really doesn’t like using dragonborn. What do you do if players zig when they should zag at an important story moment? Note: This session covers a homebrew subplot that is not part of the official OotA campaign.

This is an ongoing series of Shane’s notes, thoughts and tips for running the D&D adventure Out of the Abyss, which is the tabletop portion of the Rage of Demons story line.

Each video follows the most recent session with his group.
