Shane Plays Geek Talk Episode #296 – 10/29/2026
Werewolf movies (over 30 of them, from 1913 through now) with my favorite Curmudgeonly Movie Buff Chris Holmes, and Levi Combs of Planet X Games. Some werewolf history and lore (do you know where the silver bullets and full moon lore came from?). What is the strangest way to become a werewolf (and is it a fetish)? What was the first werewolf movie? Which werewolf does Shane think looks like an annoyed innkeeper? (hint: it’s a Hammer flick) That one flick where the producer said we’re not making this movie without some dirty hippies!! Werewolves sure do love long-sleeve shirts. Do werewolf movies have the lowest ratio of good movies to total movies made compared to other monster types? Levi definitely has a favorite werewolf transformation scene. Shane’s pick for the most unfair werewolf fight from the human’s perspective. Levi loves him the scene in The Wolfman where Benicio del Toro wolfs out in the hospital operating theater. Hot Tip: you can be blind and still bring the stank on a werewolf. Did you know Uncle Rico played not one but two different werewolves in two different 80s movies? Shane awards a prize for the most unexpected werewolf movie title. What do donuts have to do with the Crawl For The Cure? SUPER SPECIAL BONUS!! Levi howls like a werewolf at least three times.
