The jungle expedition into Chult proper begins as the party hits the Soshenstar River towards Camp Vengeance. Proper equipment. Canoes. Travel paces, navigation rolls and random encounter rules. Fishing mechanics (you won’t believe what they caught). How long can a character swim? Should helpful NPCs affect XP awards? Best party size for ToA?

This is an ongoing series of Shane’s notes, thoughts and tips for running the D&D adventure Tomb of Annihilation, plus D&D rules clarifications and DM / GM tips in general.

Solasta: Crown of the Magister is an in-development turn-based tactical CRPG from Tactical Adventures based on the D&D Fifth Edition rules via the Open Gaming License. This is not the D&D IP and lore, but an implementation of the 5E game mechanics. And so far it’s really impressive.
