Let’s Play: Batman: Arkham Origins 4

This is the fourth part of a Let’s Play series of Batman: Arkham Origins.

In this part, we track down the Penguin’s lair using a good old fashioned Bat Combination of brains and brawn.

Note: I am playing on a PC, using a gamepad instead of the keyboard.

Let’s Play: Batman: Arkham Origins 3

This is the third part of a Let’s Play series of Batman: Arkham Origins.

In this part, we begin a strained relationship with Enigma, whoop up on plenty of random bad guys, and get ever closer to tracking down the Penguin.

Note: I am playing on a PC, using a gamepad instead of the keyboard.

Let’s Play: Batman: Arkham Origins 2

This is the second part of a Let’s Play series of Batman: Arkham Origins.

In this part, we do some sleuthing and sightseeing in the Batcave, get introduced to the eight assassins out for Batman’s blood, and listen to witty banter from Alfred before blasting off in the Batwing back into the troubled night.

Editing Note: At around 12:06 I edited the video to skip ahead about 5 minutes. All you miss is me playing around in challenge mode and getting whooped on while I try to get my moves sorted. So story-wise you are good to go.

Sound Note: Also, for some reason my recording audio dropped in volume for the rest of the video around that point. So it’s not you, it’s me.

Note: I am playing on a PC, using a gamepad instead of the keyboard.

Thanks for watching!

Digital Togetherness with Steam Family Sharing

Steam Family Sharing

Family dinner time, and video games, is what keeps us all together and protects society

My buddy Keef…

(this is Keef: keith_pixelized )

… brought the Steam Family Sharing beta thingy to my attention. Steam Family Sharing allows users on the same computer to share games in their Steam Libraries. Please re-read and digest where I said on the same computer. Otherwise you’ll get all excited for nothing.

You can read more on Steam Family Sharing in the Steam store.

For those of you that are frantic to join the beta,  join the Family Sharing Steam Group for your chance at an invite.

Some will grumble that it’s restricted to the same computer, yet at the same time Steam didn’t have to do even that. So we take our digital crumbs where they fall, my friends.

If you want to know the basics of locating and mining an asteroid in EVE Online, this is your how to video!

If you want a complete, in-depth comprehensive tutorial on every aspect of mining in EVE Online, this is not the how to video for you!

Yedo: Rule From The Shadows

yedo-footer

You sunk my Samurai!

I recently had the chance to play Yedo, a new board game from Pandasaurus Games based on Japanese shenanigans in the 1600s. Yedo is a city if you didn’t know (I didn’t). The Shogun rules from Yedo, giving opportunity for competing clans to curry official favor while striking at each other from the shadows.

This isn’t meant to be a review but just a quick note. I really enjoyed the game and so did the three other players I played with. There are no dice, it’s based purely on strategy and decisions other than a bit of randomness with the town watch, who can throw your disciples into the clink if he strolls through the district they are currently in.

Also, at first I was a bit intimidated with the board and assumed it was going to be a really complicated game (I don’t mind complicated games per se, but that evening we just wanted to bust open a new game and jump in). I’m pleased to say that after a few minutes of one of us reading the rules and a first round that crawled a bit while we got used to things, the remaining rounds flowed well and things gelled quickly.

Recommended.
