I really liked your broadcast. It took me back to when I was playing Braunstein and Blackmoor with David Arneson. Going into an evening with an adventure planned for eight PCs and having 22 players show up, I had to invent 14 more PCs as fast as people came in the door… Fortunately, they all had fun, so I didn’t stop being an RPG Referee… You guys did a great job interviewing Griff, and I hope you do get to be in a Tonisborg game with him…

I don’t get starstruck very easily but you just rang my bell! I’m very glad you enjoyed the broadcast. I have tremendous respect for you Major Wesley and you have an open invite to the show.

      Thanks for making my day!

You’re doing a good job. I look forward to more broadcasts. By the way, its Wesely not Wesley – my ancestors came from Bohemia (modern Czech Republic) not the UK (like the Methodist Wesleys) and we wound up with Wesely after the immigration people at Ellis Island got through trying to read my great-great-grandfather’s ID papers, issued in German by the Austrian Empire as they would not let “Bohemians” use the Czech language! One of the reasons he headed for America. Then, after he got to America, he discovered that the schools his kids went to here only alllowed their students to speak two languages: English and Latin. But at least all the German-speaking kids were getting punished alongside the Czech-speaking ones! It sounds like something you hear about Indian reservation schools… But enough. As you can see, I love to tell stories. Could that have something to do with my creating the first Role Playing Game?

I love a good story, especially when its interesting history! By the way my middle name is Wesley, so I guess got hit with the Methodist history bat 🙂

          Best,
          Shane
